The Concert Bands are the required core part of the band course offered at Crestwood High School. Every year auditions are held to determine placement in the Concert Band and Wind Ensemble. Both of these ensembles will perform at regularly scheduled concerts, adjudicated events, and prestigious festivals at venues around the globe by audition only.

The Crestwood Wind Ensemble is the premiere concert performing group at Crestwood High School, performing literature at a grade 3-5 level. The ensemble is selected by audition only with group instrumentation limited to the most advanced musicians only. While students will already possess a high degree of ability, the further advancement of musical skills, both individual and ensemble will be paramount to the success of the student and the group. The Wind Ensemble receives Superior Ratings at both District & State level events at the Class A level. The group has audition and been invited to perform at Kent State University, Severance Hall for Northeast Wind Band Festival, Lincoln Memorial, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
